Description:
A true “time warp” car with only 18,620 original miles, this 1977
Seville is one of the finest examples of Cadillac’s entry into a shorter
wheelbase luxury car. From the original window sticker to full
documentation of ownership and service during the last 30 years, this is
a remarkable vehicle. It comes complete with the original owner’s manual
and the 16-page sales brochure used in the Cadillac showroom.
The mint original blue paint that shines as brightly as it did on the
showroom floor, this Seville has a matching blue vinyl top that is in
perfect condition. The car has chrome wire wheel hubcaps that add a bit
of tasteful sportiness. The classic styling of the body has a timeless
elegance that will always be admired and sought after, much like other
American luxury classics such as the early Packards, Duesenbergs and
Cords.
The supple blue leather interior is in perfect condition, as one would
expect in such a low-mileage car. Despite its more diminutive size,
there is plenty of leg and shoulder room for five full-size adults. This
is, after all, a luxury car built in the Cadillac tradition. As would be
expected, the Seville has all of the comforts of power seats, windows,
locks, disappearing antenna and climate control. The sound system is
original to the car and features an AM/FM/8 Track stereo radio.
Mechanically flawless, the Seville has the 350 cubic inch GM engine with
an automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. It has disc brakes on
all wheels for fade-resistant braking. The owner just installed four new
radial whitewall tires since the original tires—although having plenty
of tread life remaining—were beginning to show signs of possible
weakening after three decades. This is a strong performer that is fully
capable of meeting the performance and safety requirements of today’s
driving conditions.
This 1977 Seville is a luxury car that is light on its “feet”, easy to
maneuver, and truly “Cadillac comfortable”. When we look back on the
luxury sedans of the ‘70s, the Cadillac Seville will be one of the true
classics to weather the tests of time. This particular original
low-mileage Seville will stand at the head of the line of those
classics.
