This 1978 MGB is a great driving sports car that has been extensively reconditioned. This is a car that is ready to jump into, turn the key and go. If you are looking for a really nice MGB with dependable mechanicals, this is it.

This car was repainted in 2004 and the white finish gleams with nice depth. There are a couple of creases that can barely be seen, but overall the body is in good to very good condition. The top, tonneau and boot cover are all in good condition and finished in black. The seats, door panels and dash overlay were all replaced and are in excellent condition. There are two small imperfections in the vinyl that covers the top of the doors (see pictures) but they are barely noticeable. The lower right hand corner of the dash panel is cracked.

Mechanically, the car is extremely sound, accelerating quickly and stopping straight. The car tracks perfectly at speed without any vibration or wandering. The brakes have been rebuilt and work well. The four-speed synchromesh transmission provides smooth up-shifts and down-shifts, and the car has had a recent clutch and clutch master cylinder replacement.

The 185/70R/14 radial tires are new (the spare has never been on the ground) and all of the wheels were refinished. Various other replacement parts were installed during the course of this car’s reconditioning, including a new radiator, new fuel tank, new alternator, etc.

MGBs are fun cars to drive because they are roomy enough for taller drivers and smooth enough to make driving a sports car an enjoyable experience rather than a workout. Here is a chance to buy a very nice MGB that has been thoroughly reconditioned and is ready to enjoy.
