’70 Swinger—the real deal!!

In an age of clones, finding a real Mopar is getting more and more difficult—particularly a nice one.  But this is a true Dodge Swinger with paint, interior, engine and transmission that all match the cowl tag specs.  THIS IS A NUMBERS MATCHING SWINGER.  You may find them priced higher but you won’t find one any better!! 

With Original Engine and Transmission

·        The original 340 V-8 (rebuilt) 4bbl carburetor performance engine;

·        The original  (rebuilt) automatic transmission with a shift kit; and

·        Functional cowl air scoops on the hood. 

With Original Factory Paint/Interior Colors

This Swinger has been treated to a very nice respray in its original Bright Red finish, with a black “bee” stripe.  The paint looks good without chips, dents or orange peel.  The red exterior is complemented by a black vinyl top that is in excellent condition.  This Swinger has a black vinyl interior, just as it did when it came from the factory.  It even has the rubber floor covering that marks it as a no-nonsense performance car.  All of the glass is in good condition and the windows function as they should. The chrome is in good condition as well. 

Powered by a 340 V-8 

This Swinger has its original 340 V-8 high performance engine, with 4bbl carburetor. (VIN numbers are stamped into block.)  This engine starts right up at the turn of the key and runs as it was designed to—which is to move this car quickly off the line.  

With a HD TorqueFlite Transmission 

The transmission likewise is a Heavy Duty A-727 TorqueFlite stamped date-code correct and appears to be original to the car.   It shifts properly and smoothly—again reminding us that a day in a classic car can and should be enjoyable. 

Equipped for Performance 

This Swinger has the performance features that one wants: 

·        Power steering;

·        Automatic transmission with shift kit;

·        Front disc brakes;

·        Aftermarket tach; and

·        Seat belts with competition harness for driver.

Clean, Clean, Clean 

It is not an overstatement to say that this Swinger is clean as a whistle.  And, it is ready for the road with gauges that work, safety equipment (wipers, horn, lights, turn signals, etc.) that function properly, and 205/70R14 tires with plenty of tread remaining.  Only the AM radio needs some attention.  It has a Flowmaster exhaust system, and the gas tank, suspension parts, shocks, rear springs and hoses were all replaced by the owner. 

Driving a classic Swinger doesn’t get any
