Paint and TrimThe first thing that jumps out about this Porsche is its lustrous Arena Red finish—a rarer but prettier color than the Guards Red that was found on many Porsches. The paint has a couple of pebble chips on the front that you have to look carefully to see making the paint a 9.5 on a 10 point scale. The color, combined with the Aero Kit features (front spoiler and rear whale tail) and special wheels, make this a car that everyone is immediately attracted to.

Convertible TopThe black canvas top is the perfect complement to the body color, and the top is in excellent condition, as is the rear window. The top was replaced, along with the operating mechanism, approximately 18 months ago. As one would expect, the top raising/lowering mechanism works flawlessly making it a pleasure to “drop the top” on this convertible.

Wheels/TiresThe three-piece polished Speedline wheels have “Z” speed rated tires—225-40 ZR18 on the front and 285-30ZR18 on the rear. The rear tires are brand new and the front tires are in excellent condition.

Interior
This convertible has tan leather seats that have the patina of a classic Porsche without any rips, separations or tears in the leather. The black headliner is in very good condition, as is the convertible top boot cover.

EngineThe 1997 model year for Porsche featured the final year of the sought-after air-cooled engines. This C-2 starts immediately, idles properly, and runs like the wind with its 6-cylinder 282 hp 3.6 liter engine.
