Description:
This Dodge Swinger is a great example of the Mopar muscle cars: very quick, popular red/black color combination and excellent overall condition. AND it’s affordable!
This Swinger features the 340 cid/275 hp V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor nestled in a well-detailed engine bay. The functional air scoops on the hood bear the 340 designation as well. It has an automatic transmission with a shift kit, making it very quick on the up-shifts. The rear-end has been changed to 3:91 gears, but the stock gears will come in a box with the car as well. The car has painted red wheels on which are mounted 4 BF Goodrich radials [P205/70SR14] with plenty of tread life left.
The cosmetics on this Swinger are extremely nice. The red exterior paint is in very good condition, and the black “bee” stripe makes a nice contrast. The black vinyl top is excellent with one blemish. The black vinyl interior is very clean with no rips or tears, and the rubber floor covering just emphasizes that this is a no-nonsense performance car. There is a small discoloration spot on the rear window shelf. This appears to be a rust-free car, showing no evidence of rust on the body or frame. Seatbelts are installed front and rear, and the driver’s side has a competition harness should you wish to take this Swinger to the track.
All of the gauges and safety equipment (lights, turn signals, wipers, horn) work, as does the aftermarket tachometer. The car has a radio but it does not appear to be working.
And, this car drives as nice as it looks. The power steering is tight, the engine runs smoothly and sounds great, the transmission shifts properly, putting all the power to the road as evidenced by the tire spin when you put “the pedal to the metal.” The rumble of the recent Flowmaster dual exhaust system add to the enjoyment of this car. It is, in short, a great example of a Dodge muscle car.
This Swinger is truly a “get in it and go” car
in every sense: looks, condition and performance—no excuses and no
issues. Don’t let this one get away.
